The Committee for Fundraising and Reconstruction of Bridges in the Gedo Region was officially established on June 10, 2024, with the mission to restore and enhance critical transport infrastructure across the region

What we do

The Committee for Fundraising and Reconstruction of Bridges in the Gedo Region is dedicated to restoring vital infrastructure and ensuring safe, accessible transport across the region. Our core activities include

Fundraising & Resource Mobilization

Organize fundraising campaigns locally and globally. Engage with donors, NGOs, and community members to gather financial and material support. Promote awareness through social media, events, and community outreach

Project Planning & Oversight

Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines for each bridge. Monitor construction progress and ensure transparency and accountability. Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders and donors

Bridge Reconstruction & Rehabilitation

Identify and assess damaged or destroyed bridges. Work with engineers, local authorities, and contractors to rebuild or rehabilitate critical structures. Ensure construction follows safety, durability, and environmental standards

Community Engagement

Collaborate with local communities to prioritize bridges based on need. Include community input in design and location decisions. Create local employment opportunities during construction phases.

Partnership Building

Coordinate with government bodies, humanitarian agencies, and development partners. Foster long-term partnerships to support infrastructure resilience in the Gedo region.
